Jesus, the rabbi, the Teacher preached 9 words. Do you know what they are?
Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand! Repent in Greek is the word "metanoia": to change your mind.
But, since Jesus was a Jewish man, in Hebrew repent is the word: "Teshuva": which means to turn or to return as in:
Acts 3:19 turn from sin and turn to God that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
But the message he taught always accompanied something, always: ACTION.
Jesus displayed His message of redemption. He always offered proof of what He said, which always pointed people back to the Father.
I Am the bread of life, and He multiplied the bread (and fishes) to feed at least 5,000 on 1 occasion and 4,000 on another.
I Am the resurrection and the life, then He raised Lazarus from the tomb after 4 days.
I Am the Light of the world, then opens the eyes of the blind.
Jesus never preached on healing. He WAS healing.
Jesus did what we called in grammar school: Show & Tell.
Then He told us who believe in His name to do it too.
And that is the great privilege we have today, to demonstrate the Gospel with the same Spirit that Jesus had. The same Spirit. Not another Spirit. Not a lesser Spirit. The same Spirit, who now inhabits every born-again Believer.
Signs, wonders and miracles authenticate the Gospel and it is for every single Believer to operate in. No exception.
John 14:12 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
